There’s virtually no such thing as the typical Brays Island owner. Certainly, there are common denominators - a love for the outdoors, an appreciation for the natural beauty and a value system with a high priority placed on the active, outdoor lifestyle. Beyond that, our owners are an extremely varied bunch!

Geographically, the vast majority are from the United States, with a sprinkling of international representatives with origins from England, France, Italy, Cuba, Switzerland, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Canada, Russia, and South Africa. Ages range from “as soon as we are able to afford it” to “as long as we remain healthy enough to enjoy it.”

For younger successful working families in metropolitan areas like New York, Atlanta, Charleston, and Miami, Brays is like the ultimate farm away from the city, giving children the ability to learn and experience things that city living simply cannot provide.

For retirees, Brays is like kids’ camp - but for adults. Every owner is a newcomer. Friendships are forged, and people are able to learn interesting new things and travel to interesting places with fellow owners.
