Experience

Built on a high bluff overlooking the Pocotaligo River, the Inn was inspired by several Charleston pre-Civil War homes.

Age-old beauty still pervades.

Built on a high bluff overlooking the Pocotaligo River, the Inn at Brays Island serves as the social centerpiece of the community today. Owners and their families come together here for gatherings and events—from our annual Easter Egg Hunt to our Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.

The historic Brays Island plantation house is a Georgian-style mansion that functions as a 13-room inn for Brays Island members and their guests. Meandering through the stately living room, inviting bar and lounge, wood-paneled library, and meeting room transport you to another time. The full-service dining room is overseen by a chef who delights in combining the freshest seasonal foods with comforting Lowcountry fare.

The Inn also offers sunny patios, two swimming pools, gardens, tennis courts, and a fitness center. Sip sweet tea on the spacious verandas overlooking magnificent plantation views. Stroll through the surrounding gardens filled with the sweet scent of blooming camellias and shaded by moss-draped oaks. Or discover a bounty of opportunities for leisure and recreation on the adjacent Har Tru tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, fitness center, and immaculate lawns.
